A Thanksgiving Blessing

There is an odd bit of culture I noticed this
Year more than any before,
with Special regard to the holiday adverts on
Primetime TV and in grocery stores.
on Ten, thirty-one, our fun All Hallows Eve
while Preoccupied with our black, orange and sweets,
Stores were replacing their tombstones and skulls with
Fir trees and snow globes and bright red and green.
Just like I said it's the first time I noticed
not T-Day, but X-Mas, is now on the shelves.
No pumpkins, no pilgrims, no big Horn o' Plenty,
the Turkey supplanted by holiday elves.
not Such a complaint as a curious notice.
thanksGiving seems now just a means to an e
